“A good traveler has no fixed plans and is not intent on arriving.” – Lao Tzu
A bit of a break before the winter season at Sonlight. Winston and I started our November journey with the ACA regional camping conference. We had great conversation with long time camp friends, learned a few new things and were deeply inspired by one of the speakers. Then we had some time well spent with family before heading west. We connected with a long time camp friend Bruce Kochsmeier and his family in Nevada. Then on to Zephyr Point- the Presbyterian conference center on Lake Tahoe. What a view! We had a good visit with our friend Bedford Holmes, the Executive Director.
It is good to step away, and view our world from a distance. Such an amazing place that Sonlight is, the people and all that goes on there. The “idea page” in my journal grows every day- as I jot down things discovered along the way that will continue to make Sonlight a better place. Be blessed this Thanksgiving season, as you each are a blessing.

Loved seeing your photos from Lake Tahoe! It brought back such memories…we were members of the Presbyterian Church there. Alex was born there and baptized with water from Lake Tahoe! Oh how I miss that beautiful place…almost as much as I miss Sonlight!
