Looking forward to Summer 2022

The Sonlight Leadership Team monitors the COVID-19 rates in our county and nearby area, and are encouraged by the decrease in positivity rate. Should the environment change, metrics worsen, or a new COVID-19 strain arise, we will re-evaluate implementing protocols to keep our campers and staff safe.

We’re asking you to join us in following these guidelines to ensure that a generous spirit of hospitality (characterized by mutual care and respect for friend and neighbor) defines every experience at Sonlight Camp.

Before You Come to Camp
  • Please remain home and keep your camper at home if there are any new or worsening COVID-19 symptoms
  • If your camper has been exposed to COVID-19 within 6 days of your camp date, please give Sonlight a call 970.264.4379
  • At this time, campers are not required to submit a negative COVID-19 test or proof of vaccine upon arrival. This may change by summer, as Sonlight is a licensed child care facility and we receive guidance from the state child care division, as well as the health department
During Camp

For summer 2022 the Sonlight Camp leadership team is cautiously optimistic that COVID rates will stay low, and minimal modifications will be needed in camp programming to keep all campers and staff healthy.

  • Campers and staff will be screened upon arrival
  • At this time masks are not required
  • We will support any individual who is more comfortable wearing a mask
  • Activities will be programmed to allow distancing. We’ll spend as much time as we can out of doors, and in areas with good ventilation
  • Handwashing and sanitizing will continue
