MaryJanuary, 2012. The spring dried up, so no water in the tanks for drinking or cooking with. The local water truck can deliver water to the upper parking lot, and we all decide we can pump the truck load of water (1,600 gallons) a half a mile up the hill to the water tanks. Josh was glad to lend a hand, and always enjoys an adventure. Unfortunately, the blue hose we purchased wasn’t good, and as soon as the water was pumped into it, the hose split. Lots of attempts at the project, and we finally gave up. The tanker couldn’t keep the water in the tank overnight, as it would freeze and damage the tank, so we ended up with a a sheet of ice in the parking lot and no water in the tanks. Always an adventure!
