Jammin’ Jukebox

This summer we are celebrating the power of music with our weekly banquet night theme: Jammin’ Jukebox! Through the gifts some of us are given to play instruments all the way to the background noise of the radio on car rides –  music is all around us. It has the ability to encapsulate memories, produce emotions, and bring people together in a way unlike noneother. Recognizing the true fashion of music’s uniqueness, we invite you to use your creativity to come up with whatever suits your musical style best!

Some ideas:

• Dress as your favorite genre of music (country, rock, pop, indie, etc)

• Dress like your favorite artist/musician/band

• Music Conductor

• Dress as your favorite instrument

• Dress as a Broadway show character

• Disc Jockey (DJ)

• Jukebox party – 1950’s style dress

• Let your creativity run wild!

Activities at Sonlight that you can do as a family group with a bit of direction from our staff.  These activities include:

• • Geocaching
  • Mountain Biking
  • Read a book in Hammock Village
  • Hike our trails
  • Gaga ball

You will be able to sign up for staff-led options as a family group.  We do expect a supervising adult to attend with children.

  • Teams Course Challenges
  • Hiking

All children must be with a parent or guardian. If they are coming with a different family member or close friend, please contact our office for a Guardianship Form.

We will have a modified healthy history form and liability release form that each family will complete. These will be sent out once reservations are made.

Families will be charged a $150 Cancellation Fee if they cancel their reservation for reasons other than a COVID incidence or known exposure which requires a family member to quarantine.  If Sonlight has to cancel a session to comply with state or local health orders, a full refund will be given. 

Any devices must be left in your car or cabin.  We recommend leaving them at home and enjoying a chance to truly unplug. Sonlight does not have cell service on our property and our office relies on what little DSL we do have, so public wifi will not be available. You are welcome to share our landline number for emergencies.

As much as we love dogs, cats and bearded dragons, we do have to keep our cabins as pet-free areas, for the health and safety of future guests. Pets need to stay home.

Yes, upon arrival and before departure, you can expect to complete a basic questionnaire for everyone in your group and for everyone to have their temperature taken. If local health agencies require it, Sonlight may have to conduct additional screenings.
