* Out of our daily routine, an opportunity to shed the expectations and pressures of others. Camp is a place to truly be who you are, to live above artificial limitations and blossom into who God created us to be.
* Home made cookies.
* Mountains. Stars. Sunshine.
* Mentoring by exceptional college students.
And beyond what we know to be true at Sonlight, the American Camp Association backs up the experience with research:
“Research tells us that camp experiences are distinct from other learning environments because kids learn skills at camp that they do not learn in the same way in school, or Research suggests that the skills campers learn at camp last far beyond their camp experience, and specifically help them in school, when they attend college, and in their first jobs.”
