Meet the folks who provide passion, fresh perspectives, and leadership for our summer programs
Bryce Baca is the Sonlight year round Program Director. His long history with Sonlight started when he was in middle school as a camper, he joined the college staff as a counselor, then was Program Assistant. Bryce brings a love of Jesus, kids and mountains to his everyday journey. Married to Natalie, they call Sonlight home year round.
Sophia Nelson is Program Assistant for 2019. A student at Colorado Christian University she is majoring in youth ministry. A former Sonlight camper and counselor, this is her first year on the summer leadership team, her third summer on staff. Welcome Sophia!
Becca Berger our tireless Registrar works remotely from Durango, Colorado in the non-summer months, and we look forward to her continuing in the role of Backpack Coordinator also. She and her husband Chris are at home in Durango and we’re grateful for all she brings to Sonlight!
Emrys and Sara Tyler are making their mark as the Sonlight Directors, entering their third year in the position. Their home is at Sonlight, and their 2 children Gwendolyn and Micah find many blessings in living at camp. So many adopted older friends around all the time!
