Colorado Trail 2018
Summer 2018 Winston and Mary thru-hiked the Colorado Trail. 486 miles from Denver to Durango. We loved being at camp through early July. Being involved in backpack guide training, staff training and camps through HighSchool 10day. But then time to hit the trail! We’re grateful for the leadership of Emrys and Sara at Sonlight, so we’re getting an opportunity to do things we haven’t summer days to do before. So much wisdom to learn when you hike. The views and peaks, and the lessons learned when you accomplish the hard things.
Look at the Big Picture
Take a step back, and look at the big view. It’s easy to focus only on the trail in front of you.
Appreciate the spring water
Sometimes good water is scarce.

Our creator is a big, mighty, creative God to have made all of this for us.
Resilience
Sometimes things don’t go as you want. Life is hard. But it’ll be better in the end.

Those camp pals? They can be your best friends for life.
