” I dropped Keagan off for another week of Sonlight camp yesterday with his best friend Anthony. I’m so thankful that these boys have the opportunity to go and make memories and grow together. I have such fond memories of Sonlight Camp. I’m actually jealous that I don’t get to stay and play too!”
So many second generation campers! Those kids who tell us “my mom came here.” It’s so great when parents-who-were-Sonlight-campers bring their kids to camp. The message is strong when families invest so much to get their kids to the same camp where they made so many memories. Arrival day is also full of grandparents. Those same folks who brought their kids to camp 20 years ago, and are now do the same for their grandkids. Such a legacy! There are things that have changed through the years, but the hospitality, the amazing counselors, the cookies, campfires and the space to listen to God hasn’t changed. And for that we are grateful.
