Seasons bring transitions to the rhythms of Sonlight Camp. We’ve wrapped up the fall retreat season, winter season is around the corner!
Fall brings camp conferences, we love the opportunity to connect with camp colleagues and stay abreast of trends in the camp community. Claire, Winston and Mary just returned from the regional American Camp Association Conference. Winston presented sessions on facility and maintenance as well as finance. Claire and Mary supported the CampWell track, as Sonlight was a CampWell pilot site in 2023.
Fall is also an ideal season to explore trails for next summer and get out on some peaks. The late October hike up an un-named summit was a bit snowy. An amazing day for adventure.
The Sonlight winter season is booked up. We look forward to many returning groups as well as some new groups. Retreat groups and ski groups fill our winter season.
Summer 2024 dates are posted. Registration opens January 2, 2024. The staff application is live and we’re accepting applications. We take our time allowing applications to come in, then spend time in interviews getting to know applicants. We find joy in building a team!
