Leave No Trace
This weekend the Sonlight staff headed to Moab for a Leave No Trace Trainer course. Amanda and Emma (2023 backpack guides) planned and led the course to help year round staff become better qualified to teach the Leave No Trace Principles. Staff learned how to teach through activities and practicing skills while camping and hiking. It was great to temporarily escape the melting snow and brainstorm more ways to incorporate LNT into camp this summer!
We are confident that all campers at Sonlight will gain a greater appreciation for nature and develop an innate desire to help protect it. We want to conserve wild lands for future generations!
