1992 – 2020
28 years later, and the same view!
As high school kids, Clark and Meredith Weatherby went on a Sonlight backpack trip with the youth group from Covenant Presbyterian Church, Austin, TX. Fast forward to 2020, and they returned to Sonlight with their kids, and hiked the same trail.
So much to say about this! The consistency of wilderness. Peaks and views that are the same. Experiences that bring out the best in us. Those moments that shape us, and how we pass them along to the next generation. The importance of stepping out of our daily routine. The power of the wilderness environment. Friendships that stretch across the years.
