Sonlight Camp has always been about being with kids and showing them God. All kids. Always.
The foundation of our ministry is built on uniting all people under the banner of the gospel and building a community that will forever enrich their lives.
While we cannot understand the experiences that every individual lives with, we do know that racial injustice continues to be a reality for people of color. We believe such injustice is contrary to God’s will for the world as expressed in Jesus Christ, and Christians are called at all levels to combat it.
We are not perfect in understanding or solving this issue, but we would rather show up imperfect than not show up at all.
Sonlight will continue to be a place that accepts all people, always, as God has created them. We will continue to stand for the love of all people. And we acknowledge our responsibility to continue listening, learning and growing.
As we continue to process all the circumstances in our world, we will continue to build community and reflect God’s love for all people, always.
