Wisdom of the Campers
Sonlight is deep in to second generation campers. At Junior Camp 2019 we had kids from 3 former Sonlight program directors, Tim Thayer, Rob Breshears and Malea (Lightle) Fowler. So who better to give advice to new Sonlight campers than the kids of Sonlight program directors! There is some good advice in here friends.
Cedar’s advice for new Sonlight campers:
- Pack more than one shirt when you go to camp
- If you want to be on the same team as your friend for Messy Games stand five people apart in line
- If you ever get nervous or afraid because you are away from home remember to not be afraid because God is always with you
Toby’s advice for new Sonlight campers:
- Be aware that there is a shaving cream fight
- Just have fun, because if you don’t have fun, sometimes other people won’t have fun
- If you have a digital camera, bring it because you can get some really good pictures
- I want to leave some things a surprise. It’s more fun.
Katie’s advice for new Sonlight campers:
- Try new things
- Eat at least 1 protein per meal
- Ask your mom to pack your clothing in bags with holes
- You should kiss the deer at least once because it’s tradition
- Have fun!!
