So much winter! The moisture has ramped up, and Sonlight has received so much snow and moisture. Rain on snow has made things slpppy but we’re grateful to see so much white piled up everywhere. Snowpack in the San Juan basin is over 159% of normal, which is so significant to bring us out of drought. The skiing has been amazing.
Sonlight staff have been busy hosting groups: weekend groups of local youth groups, women from Pine Valley church in Bayfield, college kids from Tarelton State University (Stephenville, TX) and youth from First Presbyterian Church in Tulsa. We love the variety of our guests! Our returning groups are like family, we’ve hosted the Pine Valley ladies for 20 years. This is the first year for Tarelton State.
In addition to hosting groups, staff is busy with all the summer plans. Bryce, Emrys and Sara are hiring rock star staff, that process continue so check the staff page if you’re interested in a summer position! Camps are filling quickly and wait lists are growing. We do get cancellations, so don’t hesitate about getting your child on a wait list. There is no fee to be on a wait list, a deposit won’t be charged until a spot opens up.
Registrations for the Sonlight 40th reunion weekend in May are lively, don’t hesitate if you want to come, as you’ll need to reserve a spot!
