Cat in the cargo trailer

A Fall women’s retreat from the United Methodist Church in Farmington was departing on Sunday afternoon. Cars in the parking lot were being loaded as was a cargo trailer being pulled behind the church van. Vehicle doors were open and people were everywhere. Luggage and retreat decorations were being loaded in haste. As they drove away, we waved good bye until next Fall’s women’s retreat.

That evening, we received a phone call from the group. They had one of our cats! What? When they got back to their church in Farmington and opened the cargo trailer doors to unload, out sprang a cat! Sonlight’s cat. Apparently, the cat, being curious, went in the trailer to explore. Yes, the doors were shut and let the road trip begin. Can you imagine a two and a half hour road trip for a cat in a trailer?

On Monday,Mary and Karla drove to Farmington to pick up a grateful cat. That cat never went near a trailer again.
