Character Counts

“Educating the Whole Child” is a phrase the American Camp Association, the accrediting organization for camps, uses to describe what camps really do. Camps are fun, but they are also uniquely educational, providing developmental benefits that the otherwise 2-dimensional experience of schools often do not. We love that Sonlight contributes to raising kids by addressing the “whole child.” At Sonlight, we are intentional about focusing on creativity, imagination,  decision making, thoughtfulness, compassion, love of nature, curiosity, passion, flexibility, initiative, collaboration and communication. These are just part of the normal routine of living life in Christian community in our little spot of forest.
