Covenant Presbyterian Church, Wichita Kansas
So much support! Thanks friends. These faithful souls come to Sonlight every May (for the past 20 years!) bringing tools, willing hands to do hard work. The work that prepares us for summer. Building, repairing, cleaning, sorting, sewing, more cleaning and organization. There are no words to express the extent that this group has impacted Sonlight Camp. Their touch is in every building and space around camp. The big projects this May were a lower deck on Kelsey’s treehouse, a new room in the backpack building to provide housing for a summer staff couple, some massive cleaning (in addition to the usual cleaning they tackled the backpack building) a new counter top in the E-Dub bathroom, new curtains in the cabins, as well as staff cabins and some painting. Fundraising at the church provided funds for the projects, as well as 6 new adairondack chairs. Covenant Presbyterian friends provided the funds, and the chairs were build by our neighbor Malcom Rodgers. A special thanks to Linda, who organizes the fundraising, and organizes the logistics of the trip. Thanks friends! Your work is appreciated by campers and staff.
