Statement of Accountability
By registering for Sonlight Camp, campers and their parents agree to the following:
I understand that camp can have certain inherent risks, that the mountain environment is different than the city, that situations may arise which will be dealt with differently than in an urban area. I understand that cell phones and other electronic devices may not be used at Sonlight or on High Adventure trips.
I give my permission for the photos taken of me/my child participating in camp activities to be used for the promotional purpose of camp, and Sonlight, to include the website.
I, the camper, agree to participate in camp within the limits noted on the Health Form by my parents or medical staff. I agree to act in a responsible way, respecting other people, as well as camp property and facilities. I understand that my participation in camp may be terminated if I act in a negative or threatening manner towards other people or the camp property.
I have read and agree to the policies listed in the Parent/Camper Handbook.

FAQ’s
Can I bring my iPod to camp?
Only older generations of iPod are allowed at camp (i.e. nothing with capability to connect to the internet), and may only be used in the cabins. Camp is a place to unplug and interact with other campers. Many campers ask if they can bring their iHome or iPod speakers to camp. This is up to your counselor upon arrival, but most are happy to have music in the cabin.
Can I keep over-the-counter medication with me in my cabin?
Colorado State Law requires that all medications including supplements, prescriptions, over-the-counter, etc. be kept in the health care station. To maintain our childcare license, we need to comply with these laws. Please turn in meds during the healthcare check during arrival. Exceptions are rescue inhalers for asthma, and epi-pens.
What does the bag-check consist of during arrival?
Your counselor will do a quick but thorough check of your luggage upon arrival to camp. They will be checking for items you may have forgotten to remove (cell phone, meds, etc), and giving them back to your parents. Also checking for any stow-a-ways siblings!
Can My Child Call Me?
Phone calls home are not permitted, except in special circumstances approved by the Director. There is value in kids being away from home and on their own, and being unplugged from parents, home and family. You are welcome to email your child with our free one-way email system. (Details provided in the registration materials.) Letters are welcome, we encourage you to bring them on opening day and we will distribute during the week. You may provide letter or postcard writing materials to your child. They will have time during the week to write you a letter if they wish.
Cancellation Policy
Should you cancel your reservation, there will be a $50 cancellation fee. If you cancel your reservation within one week of your camp, and we are unable to fill the spot, there are no refunds. There are no refunds or pro-rated pricing for early departures or late arrivals.
