Dark skies overhead and the Sonlight meadow provide the ideal space for an awe-inspiring view of the stars, planets and galexies. The generous donation of a telescope by MariJo and Jim Owens and the donation of an upgraded mount by Wayne and LeAnn Brasure provide what we need to visualize what is beyond.
This month we have viewed the rings of Saturn, the Andromeda Galexy the Great Cluster in Hercules as well as binary and double stars and the milky way. On a full moon night the craters of the moon come to life.
Training with Wayne Brasure has been foundational, and Sonlight staff are prepared to share views of the skies with our guests.
Plan to spend some time in the dark with the Sonlight staff!
