Seasons are changing, and we’re busy at camp working on all-things-2018. No snow on the ground yet, but we look forward to it! Staff positions will be firmed up and the application live by early December. All 2018 summer camp dates are posted, registration will open January 2. Most winter dates are booked, but we have a few random spots available, so give Sara a call in the office 970.264.4379 if you want to bring a retreat group to Sonlight this winter. We’d love to have you.
Wolf Creek ski area is open on a limited basis, ski season is just getting started.
The Sonlight staff will be at the American Camp Association Rocky Mountain conference this week. It’s always a great time to spend time with our colleagues in camping,. We learn about the great work other camps are doing, we have sessions on new state and national regulations that direct how we run camp, we network with other camp professionals.
And finally we are gearing up for Colorado Gives Day on Tuesday December 5th. Sonlight has joined Colorado Gives for the first time this year, we look forward to Give where we live. Being supported by donors we might not reach in other ways, as well as celebrating giving to other Colorado nonprofits.
