We love the seasonal routines of camp. January and February are busy with summer camp registrations- camps are filling, so if you haven’t reserved your spot, don’t delay.
Heather is in the thick of staff hiring, always fun to connect with returning staff, and spend some time getting to know the folks who are interested in a summer position at Sonlight. Not too late to apply!
So good to have Huy and Carrie at Sonlight, and they’re no strangers to the world of camp. Learning the Sonlight routines and facility is keeping them busy. Huy will be working with Winston to hire behind the scenes staff, and he’s joining Heather in reviewing applicants.
Our weekends are full with hosting groups- many of them youth ski trips. The weather at camp is warm and dry- and the 2 feet of snow on the ground has been melting fast. Skiing at Wolf Creek is good- but you can never have too much snow. Looks like storm system moving in towards the end of this week. We hope so!
Next week Sonlight crew (Winston, Mary, Huy, Carrie, Heather and Chelsea) are headed to Orlando for the National American Camp Association conference. Always a productive time to network with other camp professionals, keep up on trends in the industry and pick up new tools for our programming.
We love the routines, and the seasonal change. As our friend used to say: Know you are loved, and keep us in your prayers.
