During the majority of the West Fork Fire’s activity, winds have been pushing smoke northeast toward Del Norte and South Fork. Due to wind change and a heat inversion, smoke settled last evening into the area around Pagosa. While we are not enjoying the smoke here at camp, we are thankful that we have otherwise been smoke free since the beginning of the fire. The smoke is from existing fires and is expected to be cleared away by noon today.
