Clear sky at camp, and a nice cool morning: the best day ever for messy games!
The West Fork Complex fires had significant growth to the north and east yesterday. The fire grew by over 9,000 acres in the last 24 hours, for total acreage of over 29,000 acres. Highway 160 over Wolf Creek Pass, as well as Colorado 149 between South Fork and Creede are closed. Visit cotrip.org for maps, and alternate routes to camp.
Still no final word from the Forest Service on the route we’ll be permitted for for our “12Days on the Divide” backpack trip next week, but we’ll post here as soon as we receive word.
