“Sometimes we believe that the greatest Christian virtue is leading someone else to Christ. Scripture teaches followers of Christ that they should love their neighbors, and make disciples along the way. Making disciples is a long process. Don’t get me wrong, I believe it is important that people make decisions to follow Jesus- I just believe it needs to happen in a context of love and not be reduced to feed the consumer’s mindset of finding spiritual comfort.”

pastor, Imago Dei, Portland

One of Sonlight’s Core Values is to love God with all our heart, soul and strength, and love our neighbor as ourself. In every way, every day we strive to love kids. Camp is one part of our journey, and our prayer is that each one of us will be a better disciple, and build other disciples,  through loving others through play and worship.
