It’s March – and the planning, the work and the anticipation of summer are all strong. Here at 8,000 feet we’re watching the snow melt, and the sounds of spring are in the air. Great spring skiing up on the pass, and we look forward to one more ski group coming up from Phoenix next week. The Sonlight Board of Directors meets at camp this weekend. We have a full agenda as we look to the future and how Sonlight will continue to stay relevant and make a positive impact in our world.

Camp registrations are strong, and camps are filling. Wait lists at this point are low, but don’t delay if you want a spot for 2014. 2014 will be the year of restructuring for the backpack program- we’d love input if you’d like to contribute to the conversation on how we provide significant wilderness experience to young people. For this summer we do have a Womens Backpack trip, and a Father/Son backpack trip on the books.    … read more …..

Staff have been spending some time keeping certifications current- Wilderness First Aid, Wilderness First Responder, and Huy completed his Archery certification this past weekend.
