2012 Father/Son Backpack Trip
For Fathers and Grandfathers, Sons and Grandsons, 7th grade or older
August 5-11, 2012 (Sunday-Saturday)

Take a week and enjoy some Father/Son time backpacking in the Weminuche Wilderness of Southwest Colorado. There will be time to sit by a mountain lake, climb a peak in alpine tundra, or enjoy a cool stream during a lunch break. Venturing through God's creation, we will take time to enjoy each other's company. Our theme, "Journeys Through New Frontiers", will challenge us with questions and thoughts for some great discussions with a cup of hot chocolate around the campfire.

Sonlight provides all gear and equipment: backpacks, sleeping bags, tents, cooking and eating utensils and food. Maximum group size is 13 people, plus the guides.

For 2012, we are continuing our voluntary tier pricing program. Tier (C) represents the actual cost of a child at Sonlight. Tier (B) is a partially subsidized rate, it does not nearly represent the true cost of camp operations.

We realize that families have differing abilities to pay. This program is totally voluntary (you choose the price), and it in no way influences the quality of experience each child receives. As always, additional financial assistance is available to ensure all children have this wonderful opportunity to attend camp.
