Sonlight is for kids. Lively and energetic, and a bit undignified as young people discover a place to be unplugged, retreat into the mountains, and be part of community.

Founded by Winston and Mary Marugg in 1979, Sonlight is a non-profit, independent youth camp in Southwestern Colorado. We offer summer camps for individual kids, and wilderness backpack trips for church groups. Winter brings deep snow, and Sonlight becomes a ski lodge for youth groups skiing at nearby Wolf Creek ski area.

Sonlight, a great place for kids. A place to get away, face challenges, grow, learn and develop self-esteem. Camp is where kids are in the presence of Jesus. Camp is community, accepting the challenges of working with others. A place to play hard in a safe environment. Camp is about life, becoming more committed, asking tough questions, playing within boundaries, and growing to be better people.
